Respite care guests enjoy access to the same great amenities and services as our long-term residents! This typically includes a comfortable suite, 3 delicious daily meals, participation in scheduled activities and events, housekeeping, and personalized care assistance as needed during their stay.
How long can someone stay for respite care?
Our respite stays are flexible! We can accommodate stays ranging from a few days to several weeks, depending on individual needs and availability. Please contact us to discuss your specific situation.

The McKendree Assisted Living starts of at $3750 and can range up to $6150 before care.
What is included in the monthly fee?
Your own private room which includes cable ,wifi, and local phone service.
You have access to outside patio area, day area, and a full-time activity team.
Does Medicare pay for assisted living?
No, it is private pay only.
Does Medicaid cover assisted living?
No, it is private pay only.
Are long-term care insurance policies accepted?
Yes, Long term care policy is accepted.

Are there 24-hour staff available?
The Mckendree Assisted living has staff 24/7.
How are medications managed?
Some residents may take care of their own medication if they have been assessed by our Director of Nursing. Otherwise, it goes on the care level for the resident.
Can residents keep their personal doctors?
They can, but we take over their care and become their primary care physician.
How are care plans created and updated?
Our Director of Nursing will sit down with you before you move in and discuss your needs and what your doctor also orders.
How do you handle residents with mobility issues?
We care plan their needs appropriately with our care team and therapy to see what the options are.

What activities and social programs are offered?
We have an Activity director and coordinators 7 days a week that plan a monthly calendar. With special events and weekly gatherings.
Are meals included, and can dietary needs be accommodated?
Three meals a day are included and are served in a restaurant style. Some dietary needs can be accommodated upon request.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are allowed in our Assisted living. They must way less than 12lbs and the resident is in charge of all care needs for the pet.
Can residents personalize their apartments/rooms?
Yes, they may personalize it how they wish.
Hang pictures, tv, or any other items. Maintenance team will help.
